The Qatar operator Qatar Executive (enters Qatar Airways Group) in the first day of work of Farnborough International Airshow declared the order of three new business jets of Gulfstream G650ER. Deliveries are planned on 2017, 2018 and 2019. Speaking at a ceremony of signing of the agreement, the executive director of Qatar Airways Akbar Al Baker has told: “When all airplanes will enter service we will become the largest operator G650 in the world”.
Al Baker has also confirmed that Qatar Executive will gradually take the fleet of large-size business jets of Bombardier consisting now of four Global 5000 and one XRS out of service. “And three of our Challenger 605 will be configured for work in air ambulance”, – he says. “The big salon of this business jet has the ideal size for medical evacuation, and range (4000 miles) is sufficient for flight from Doha in London which is very popular route”.
