Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 — the light jet plane of a business class developed by the Brazilian company Embraer at the end 2000-ss. It is capable to transport from 7 to 9 passengers.

History Phenom 300.

Bystry development and successful sales at a stage of tests of the first extralight business jets Embraer — the Phenom 100 model opened for the company of an opportunity for acceleration of works on creation of new — larger models.

Even prior to official deliveries the first business jets of Embraer — extralight Phenom 100 showed great success both in ease of development, and in pre-sales. The management of the company, watching the market made the decision to immediately use the potential of expansion of a model range. On the basis of Phenom 100 the new EMB-505 Phenom 300 project originated.

Flight technical characteristics, according to operators, surely took the top place in the list of the most attractive lines Phenom 300. Historically the rank of champions of VPH in an easy class always belonged to planes of the Cessna Citation family, but Phenom 300 — the strong rival. … And DISCONTENT of Phenom 300.

The list of the most unloved lines among owners-operators is headed by too sensitive brakes. Operators note that in general braking is effective, but their confusion is caused by the electronic brake system (brake-by-wire): her behavior not linearly, especially if brakes are heated. Embraer considers possible modifications which would limit the range of a deviation of pedals and coefficient of elasticity of shock-absorbers, by analogy with the system developed for Phenom 100. Now on replacement of the existing system the control unit of the BCU-8 brake system is developed. Meanwhile the skilled pilots who quite mastered technology of braking on Phenom 300 recommend to influence exclusively delicately pedals and to patiently wait for operation of brakes, without allowing an overheat. In the same cases when the maximum braking is required, for example on the polluted runway, it is admissible to squeeze out pedals in a floor and to allow antiyuzovy system to perform the functions to minimize a brake way.

Charter operators have priorities. For them mechanization of a wing became the main problem. Failures in work of an electronic control unit as steering surfaces — the most frequent reason of technical unavailability to a departure (AOG). Besides, Embraer develops more reliable block.

Most of operators also disapprovingly speak of accumulators, including their sickly. According to them, batteries serve only 15 months therefore at any opportunity they try to use land-based sources of food, especially in cold weather. At the same time the plane is very sensitive to fluctuations of tension of land units and disconnects an external source at the slightest jumps. Embraer investigates a question and, perhaps, will offer other accumulators, carrying out treasured desire of many operators. Now officially it is required to change accumulators each 24 months.
