The first experimental business jet G600 delivered in flight test center Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah. The company does not hide the fact that the first flight will be carried out “as soon as possible, possibly in November. Another four flying prototypes including aircraft interiors, are in various stages of readiness. The company noted that all testing completed (55000 hours) and is actively preparing for the first flight. Soon the plane will launch engines, then Jet performs high-speed taxiing. G600 is projected to be operational in 2018, a year ahead of schedule.
Previously, Gulfstream Aerospace announced the “first flight” on an integrated stand “Iron Bird” G600. Spatially and geometrically accurate structure of the stand, which includes avionics cockpit, allows the Earth in the laboratory to carry out tests, flight control systems and mechanical systems including chassis, brakes and hydraulics. During the 30-minute first flight at booth G600 simulated taxiing, take-off and landing, as well as maneuvers and changes in altitude and airspeed.
G600 has a range of 6200 nautical miles/11482 km speed of Mach 0.85 or 4800 nautical miles/8890 km at 0.90 Mach. Maximum operating speed of 0.925 Mach, essentially the same as that of the flagship G650 and G650ER.
The aircraft is equipped with a completely new control system with symmetric active lateral controls Symmetry Flight Deck, integrated touch screens, enhanced vision system next generation avionics and Honeywell Primus Epic. Like a G650 Business Jet G650ER and G600 has a fully digital trehosevuju jelektrodistancionnuju management system, which includes protection against output for operational flight modes, increases stability and has backup redundancy.
Passenger cabin layout G600 also was presented to potential customers as part of a tour of American cities. “We want these aircraft had the most functional, productive and comfortable lounge, and we shall do so in accordance with the wishes and needs of customers,” said Scott Neal, Senior Vice President of international sales and marketing for Gulfstream.
Gulfstream declassified G600 salon last year at NBAA Convention, stating, what else would update it when dealing with customers. In the salons of the G600 and G500 will install satellite communications systems and broadband access to the Internet, as well as the climate system fully updates the cabin air every two minutes and supporting pressure above 485 feet. The aircraft will be equipped with 14-w large signature portholes.
