The fourth, specially prepared Challenger 604 plane intended for ensuring expanded search and rescue operations for the Australian Steering on safety at the sea (AMSA) was put by the Field Aviation company for Cobham Aviation Services.
Field Aviation, developed, carried out flight tests and certified constructional, electronic and aerodynamic changes in the plane. After arrival in Australia the Cobham Aviation Services company will install sensors and a control system of missions by plane.
Cooperation between two companies allows to create the turnkey modern decision for AMSA. Planes which were specially modified and have onboard:
Sensors of new generation and equipment for search and rescue
Two podfyuzelyazhnykh of an aerodynamic panel (search radar and radiopelengatorny system)
The sliding optical-electronic and infrared cameras located in a plane tailpiece
The low-acting increased windows for observation
The adapted interior
The cargo door opening in flight
Field Aviation has a long story of cooperation with Cobham Aviation Services according to programs of the Australian boundary protection. These works, along with experiment of Field Aviation on version of Bombardier Challenger for the Royal Air Force of Denmark and participation in the Boeing program for the plane of sea observation, made the company the ideal choice for this project.
