French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation received approval from EASA and FAA to use combined system vision, known as FalconEye, planes Falcon 2000S/LXS. The company soon expects to receive such approval for Falcon 8 x.
Submitted by FalconEye system last year designed to raise awareness of some situational crew in difficult weather conditions, day and night. Projection display Head-Up Display (HUD) system combines a short-circuited FalconEye synthetic vision system sees a single image display based on synthetic landscape of internal databases and images of heat and highly sensitive cameras.
FalconEye has multitouch fourth-generation camera that provides high-quality image by definition close to the FLIR. The camera has a field of view of 30 to 40 degrees in the synthetic vision that extends the viewing area.
Certification followed two years of tests, which included flight tests and tests on the Simulator. Dassault plans to endorse the dual configuration system for HUD in Falcon 8 x, which is expected in 2018. According to the company, 90% of our customers choose 8 x FalconEye.
