Embraer Executive Jets has received approval from the FAA, EASA and Brazilian ANAC for projection display (head-up display-HUD) and improved technical vision, which merged into Embraer Enhanced Vision System (E2VS) for 450 and Legacy 500 aircraft. This combined system increases crew situational awareness for all phases of flight and increases security in difficult weather conditions and low visibility.
“Legacy 450 and 500 are the first aircraft that set a new standard of performance characteristics in the segment of medium-sized business jets,” said President and ceo of Embraer Executive Jets Marco Tulio Pellegrini. “Combined with the technology of the èlektronnodistancionnoj flight control systems, Embraer Enhanced Vision System delivers innovations previously only available to large business-class planes.
E2VS consists of a compact projection display that is included in the new HUD -system and enhanced vision system for multispectral EVS-3000 from Rockwell Collins. EVS provides high-precision displays, including ground led lights. Operators of aircraft equipped with HUD/EVS, can fly on specially approved hits at airports worldwide and use the lower landing minimums.
“HUD has a compact size, allowing it to easily fit in the cab Legacy and is fully integrated with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line avionics Fusion, Embraer said.
