Within Farnborough International Airshow passing in Great Britain the Boeing company officially has reported about start of the BBJ Max 7 program. The president of BBJ David Longridzh does not hide that the success of the Gulfstream G650 program became for the American producer a signal for forcing of the program of the ultradistant version of the MOVE new family.
“We see that the G650 program makes phenomenal success, in three years of the colleague from Gulfstream have put more than 170 airplanes. But we are ready to accept a call and to begin to compete in an ultradistant class in a niche of 12.500+ kilometers. In the 90th years of last century runs to range of 9000 km were actual. But time goes, and we go together with it, quickly reacting to requests of our clients”, – Mr. Longridzh comments.
Boeing still should confirm final characteristics of BBJ Max 7, but one precisely – range “the seven will be around 7000 nautical miles (12960 km) that is 800 miles farther, than at BBJ Max 8 which deliveries will begin in 2018. As for the price, the producer reports that the airplane in a “green” configuration will cost the customer $100 million. Deliveries of BBJ Max7 are planned for 2022, that is in four years after the beginning of deliveries of “eights” and in two years after deliveries of BBJ Max 9. As notes Longridzh, now Boeing has already sold 14 airplanes of BBJ Max family and it is expected that the Move 7 will be the most popular and will continue nice history of the predecessor of BBJ1.
The BBJ MAX project has been announced in November, 2012 within the annual NBAA 2012 exhibition. The first Boeing Business Jets presented to general public the BBJ MAX 8 airplane. This airplane is created on the basis of the latest 737 MAX. The new liner will become the first airplane of BBJ MAX family which will get all advantages of new, more effective LEAP-1B engines of production CFM International and the tips “a double feather” developed by the Boeing company. New engines and tips will help to reduce fuel usage by 13% and 1,5% respectively. In practice such characteristics will allow to reach flying range in 6325 nautical miles (11713 km) that more than for 14% exceeds indicators of the most advanced modern BBJ2 models. The company plans to begin deliveries of business liners of family 737MAX with the middle of 2018. The model created on the basis of Boeing 737-800 (MAX8) will become a basis of a new ruler. In 2019 the market will be entered by the Boeing 737-900 (MAX9) model, and only one year there will be later an analog of the 700th model which is the most popular among customers now.
